Those odd girls
There are two of them travelling together. One of them's fifteen, and frankly, it's all very odd. The older one is, apparently the younger one's teacher – she's in Cape Town to learn some English, but I can't help thinking the teacher isn't teaching her English, as neither can speak much. We're in Swakopmund, as I mentioned, which is where Bradd and Angelina came to adopt a child. They went quadbiking, ate in a local restaurant, etc. Now, the teacher is the one who, as I mentioned here, 'really likes Angelina Jolie' Now, I've been turning the introduction night over in my head, and it still sounds really odd. Picture, if you can, going round the room, each introducing ourselves and saying what we hope to get out of the trip...
'I want to see the sun rise over the Namib Desert.
'I want to see hippos from a canoo in the Okavango Delta.'
'I'm interested in other cultures, and really want to interact with the Himba tribes.'
'I really like Angelina Jolie.'
'I want to raft down the Zambezi.'
See, one of those looks a little out of place, doesn't it? It seems a little 'OTT' to sign up for a four-week camping trip just to sit on a quadbike an actress once rode. Takes all sorts, though.
While I'm talking about her, y'know I mentioned I feel a little 'over-prepared' lugging this tiny laptop with me? This girl has a full 15.4” widescreen Toshiba with her! She was watching dvds when we went for dinner last night. Odd, odd, odd.

They didn't adopt one there, they - or rather she - gave birth to one there.
It's the little things. :-)
God, this is the worst blog ever. No sex or nothin.
Ah, Mr. Wilson, still using the same nom de plume you were using back in 2001, I see. I'll try and get a couple of shots of lions shagging with my new telephoto lens, for your enjoyment. Alternatively, there's the 'rest of the internet'.
Heather and I went quadbiking with June (the Korean), and I had a magazine with me that had Angelina on the cover (It was all in the name of winning $50AU for taking a photo of yourself with the mag somewhere overseas). Anyway Heather was taking a photo of me on the quadbike holding the mag and June got VERY excited!! She took a dozen or so photos of herself holding the mag on the quad!
I guess there are far worse things one can be obsessed with.
